Register Domain Names
To register domain names with WinsHosting, type the name you want into the search box, pick the extensions that are free and pay in rupees by bank transfer, JazzCash, Easypaisa or card. Generic names such as .com go live within minutes of payment, and the domain appears in your client area straight away so you can set name servers, renew or add hosting from one screen.
Before you buy, think about how customers will hear the name. A short web address that survives a phone call, a radio advert and a shop signboard is worth more than a clever one that needs spelling out. Avoid hyphens and doubled letters, and check that the name does not belong to an existing trademark in Pakistan or abroad.
Start with your customers rather than the extension. A shop selling in Faisalabad and Peshawar benefits from a .pk or .com.pk, which tells Google and visitors that you trade inside the country. A software house with clients in Europe is better served by a .com, which carries no geographic signal.
Many companies register domain names in pairs. A clothing brand might run its storefront on .pk for local delivery and keep the matching .com so nobody else can trade under the same name, pointing the second address at the first. Holding both costs only the annual fee and closes off confusion, copycat shops and lost email before they happen.
Domain Extensions List
Our domain extensions list covers four families, and knowing which family a suffix belongs to tells you most of what you need about its rules and price.
The first family is Pakistan's own. PKNIC runs .pk, .com.pk, .net.pk, .org.pk, .biz.pk, .web.pk, .fam.pk and the newer .ac.pk, all open to ordinary applicants, plus .edu.pk and the government suffixes, which need proof of status. These are sold in two-year terms.
The second family is the classic generic set: .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .asia and .mobi. They are managed under ICANN contracts, have no residency rule and activate almost instantly.
Third come the country codes of other nations, from .co.uk and .ae to .us, .ca, .in and .com.au. Some are open worldwide; others demand a local company or address.
Finally there are the new generic endings launched since 2014, such as .online, .store, .shop, .xyz, .design and .cloud. They give you a second chance at a short brand when the .com is gone.
Use the full domain extensions list in the price table below to compare options side by side. Each extension links to its own page with naming ideas, eligibility notes and current rupee prices, so you can shortlist two or three suffixes before searching and avoid paying for an ending your customers would never think to type.
International Domain Registration
International domain registration from Pakistan used to mean a foreign credit card and an invoice in dollars. Through a local registrar you pay in rupees, receive a Pakistani tax-ready invoice and speak to support staff in Lahore during your own working hours, while the name itself is recorded with the same global registry as any other buyer's.
Generic names such as .com, .net and .org are the easiest overseas registrations because no residency check applies. Many country codes are just as open: .co.uk, .co, .tv and .co.za accept ordinary contact details from anyone. Others are restricted, and .ae, .us, .ca and .com.au all expect a genuine link with the country before the registry will approve or keep the name.
Exporters, freelancers and overseas Pakistanis are the main users of this service. A textile exporter in Sialkot may want the British and Emirati versions of its brand, while a family business run partly from Toronto might hold both a .pk and a .ca.
For any international domain registration, register under the real legal owner from the first day and keep the email address current, since foreign registries send verification messages there. Where a code needs documents, our team will tell you which ones before you pay, so you are not left with a suspended name months after launch.
Country Code Domains
Country code domains, known as ccTLDs, are the two-letter extensions assigned to nations and territories, such as .pk for Pakistan, .uk for Britain and .ae for the United Arab Emirates. Each one is run by its own national registry, which sets prices, eligibility rules and renewal terms independently of ICANN's generic policies.
For search, the country code is a strong hint about audience. Google normally links a .pk site with users in Pakistan and a .co.uk site with users in the UK, which helps local rankings but gives little lift elsewhere. A handful of codes, including .co, .tv, .me and .io, are marketed worldwide and treated much like generic names.
For Pakistani businesses the home ccTLD comes first. A .pk or .com.pk shows shoppers paying cash on delivery that they are dealing with a local company, and our .pk domain registration page explains the suffixes in detail.
Foreign country code domains make sense once you have customers or a branch abroad. A Dubai office can justify a .ae, and a UK distributor a .co.uk. Rules differ widely: some codes accept anyone, while others ask for a local company, address or trademark before approving the name. Browse our country domain section for the codes we register, their rupee prices and which ones need local documents before you order.
Domain Name Price List
Our domain name price list shows three figures for every extension, and reading all three is the surest way to avoid a surprise in year two. Registration is what you pay to create a name, renewal applies every year afterwards, and transfer is the charge for moving an existing name to us, which for most generic endings adds a year to the expiry date.
Some examples from today's table: .com costs Rs 3,429 to register and Rs 4,299 to renew. Pakistani suffixes such as .pk and .com.pk start at Rs 4,149, renew at Rs 4,599 and are sold in two-year terms. The cheapest opening offers, such as .xyz and .online at Rs 999, renew at Rs 1,999 and Rs 4,300 respectively.
For any name you plan to keep, add the first-year price to four renewals and compare the five-year totals. That figure, rather than the headline offer, decides which extension is truly economical.
Foreign registries bill in dollars, pounds or euros, so rupee prices move with the exchange rate. When that happens we update this domain name price list rather than adding charges at checkout, and the amount in your cart is the amount on your invoice. Agencies and businesses buying many names at once can ask sales@winshosting.com for a bulk quote.
