.home Domain Price in Pakistan
There is no .home domain price in Pakistan in 2026, and anyone quoting one is guessing. A price only exists once a registry operator has signed a contract with ICANN, the extension is delegated in the root zone and the operator publishes wholesale rates to registrars. None of those steps has happened for .home. For that reason the price panel on this page reads "see checkout" and you will not find .home in our shopping cart.
Our old page listed setup as free and registration and renewal charges as "not announced". The first part is still true: a pre-registration request with WinsHosting costs nothing. The second part has hardened, because after the 2018 ICANN Board decision there is no active applicant left to announce a fee.
If .home ever does launch, expect the usual pattern for a desirable new extension. Trademark holders would get a sunrise period, popular words would be marked premium at much higher prices, and ordinary names would follow at a standard yearly rate. Based on similar property extensions, the standard rate would probably sit closer to a niche new extension than to a .com, but that is an estimate, not a quote.
For a working budget today, compare the cost of a live alternative. Our domain price list shows current PKR rates for .com, .pk and property extensions, with no foreign card or currency conversion needed.
.home Domain Availability
The short answer on .home domain availability is that no .home name is available to anyone, whatever the word. You can type a .home address into any registrar's search box in Pakistan or abroad and the result will be the same: the extension is not supported. That is different from a domain that is merely taken; there is simply no .home registry database in which a name could be recorded.
This catches people out because .home often appears to work. On many home and office networks, typing router.home into a browser opens the router's admin page. That happens because the router answers the query locally. Outside your network the same address resolves to nothing, so a business website on .home could never be reached by customers.
Is the door closed for good? ICANN has not banned the string permanently, and its Name Collision Analysis Project has studied whether high-risk names like .home could ever be released safely. Any future release would need fresh applications, a new evaluation and years of preparation, so a realistic launch is not on the horizon.
Meanwhile the internet engineering community has created home.arpa for use inside home networks, and ICANN has reserved .internal for private networks. Both moves point towards .home remaining a private-network name rather than a public extension. Plan your branding around an extension you can register and renew with certainty.
.home Domain Pre-Order
A .home domain pre-order with WinsHosting is a free note on your account, not a purchase. You give us the exact name, for example lahorebuilders.home, and we store it with your contact details. If ICANN ever opens the .home string for new applications and a registry later launches it, we will tell you about the launch phases and the price before asking for any payment.
Please understand the limits. A pre-order, pre-registration or expression of interest with any registrar, including us, does not reserve the name. When a new extension launches, names are allocated through the registry: trademark holders apply during sunrise, competing applications may go to auction, and only then does first-come, first-served registration begin. Our role would be to submit your request promptly on day one, which helps, but no registrar can guarantee the outcome.
Our old page said the request was safe in our hands, then admitted that everyone was trying to pre-order. The honest summary sits between those lines. Leave the request if the name matters to you, and expect a long wait or no launch at all.
To place a .home pre-order note, open a ticket in the client area or email sales@winshosting.com with the names you want and your phone number. While you are there, ask us to check the same names on a live extension so your website is not left waiting.
.home Domain Alternatives for Real Estate
Since the extension cannot be bought, most of our customers pick one of several .home domain alternatives for real estate, interiors and home services. The best one depends on what your business actually does and who searches for it.
Estate agents and property dealers in DHA, Bahria Town or Gulberg often choose .properties or .estate, which read clearly in listings and adverts. A builder marketing a single housing scheme can use the project name on .house, which is live, affordable and closest in meaning to .home. Interior designers, furniture makers and renovation contractors sometimes prefer .design or .kitchen when they focus on one room or craft.
Local search matters too. For customers inside Pakistan, a .pk or .com.pk name signals a local, accountable business and is easy to say on the phone. Many firms register the .pk version as their main website and point a niche property extension at a specific campaign or project page.
Whichever alternative you choose, register it for at least two years, turn on auto-renew and keep the login with an owner of the business rather than a former web developer. Property sites build value through listings and backlinks over time, so continuity is worth more than the extension itself. Our team can check several of these alternatives in one search and quote them together in rupees.
.home Domain for Home Networks
Most people who meet the .home domain do so on home networks, not on websites. Internet service providers in Pakistan and elsewhere ship routers that assign local names ending in .home, and many families have typed 192.168.1.1 or router.home to change their Wi-Fi password. Smart TVs, CCTV recorders and network printers may also announce themselves with .home names.
This everyday use is exactly why the extension never launched. When a laptop leaves the house and connects to another network, it keeps asking for those .home names, and the questions travel to the global DNS root servers. ICANN measured that traffic and concluded that delegating .home could send private data from millions of devices to whoever operated the new registry.
If you manage an office network, the safer practice in 2026 is to stop relying on .home internally. The standards body IETF set aside home.arpa for residential networks, and ICANN has reserved .internal for private corporate use. Using one of these, or a subdomain of a domain you actually own such as office.yourcompany.pk, avoids conflicts if public extensions change.
Our support team can help small businesses set up internal DNS records on a real domain registered with us. That gives you clean names for your NAS, CCTV and accounting server, plus proper SSL certificates, which a private .home name could never provide.
