Domain Renewal Pakistan
Domain renewal in Pakistan with WinsHosting follows the same four steps for every extension we manage. First, watch for the expiry alert sent to the registrant email, naming the domain, its expiry date and the renewal price. The client area also lists each name with its due date.
Second, open the invoice. Pay online straight away, or reply to the alert if you want a longer term or have a question. There is no need to visit our Lahore office; phone, WhatsApp and email work just as well.
Third, pay by bank transfer, JazzCash, Easypaisa, card or PayPal. For bank and wallet payments, keep the transaction reference so our accounts team can match it quickly.
Fourth, if you paid outside the online checkout, send the receipt or reference by email or through a support ticket. Once confirmed, we submit the renewal to the registry and email you the new expiry date.
Renewal leaves nameservers, DNS records, email and hosting untouched, so visitors notice nothing; it only extends the term. Hosting is a separate service with its own due date, and paying for one does not renew the other.
Current renewal prices include .com at Rs 4,299 a year, .pk and .com.pk at Rs 4,599 for two years, and .net or .org at Rs 4,699. Domain renewal in Pakistan costs the same per period whether you choose one term or several, so longer terms simply cut the risk of a missed date.
Renew PK Domain
To renew a PK domain, pay the renewal invoice and we submit it directly to PKNIC as an accredited member, usually on the same day. The renewal price for .pk, .com.pk, .net.pk, .org.pk, .web.pk and the other open endings is Rs 4,599 for two years, while .edu.pk renews at Rs 5,000.
PKNIC does not renew Pakistani names one year at a time. The minimum is two years, and you can extend up to ten years in two-year steps, so your invoice always shows an even number of years.
Owners who manage names in their own PKNIC account have a second route: buy PKNIC prepaid cards from us at Rs 3,449 each, load one card per domain and renew from the registry panel. We can also apply the card on your behalf if you prefer not to log in.
Outdated contacts are the most common reason a .pk name lapses. If PKNIC's records hold an address nobody reads, registry notices go unseen. Whenever you renew a PK domain, check the registrant and administrative contacts, and ask us to update them if anything has changed.
If your .pk name sits with another company that charges more or no longer answers, you do not have to wait for a transfer: any PKNIC reseller, including us, can renew it once payment is made. After renewing, confirm the new expiry date with our whois lookup; if it has not changed by the next working day, contact our team so we can chase the registry.
Renew .com Domain
You can renew a .com domain with us for Rs 4,299 a year, extending the registration up to ten years ahead, which is the longest term the .com registry allows.
A .com renewal is processed within minutes of payment. The new expiry date appears in your client area and in public RDAP records almost at once. Nameservers, DNS records, email routing and SSL certificates stay exactly as they were, so the website carries on without a pause.
If your .com is registered elsewhere and the renewal quote looks high, transferring to WinsHosting can take the place of that renewal. Our .com transfer fee is also Rs 4,299 and adds one year to the existing term, so no paid time is lost. Start the move at least a week or two before expiry, because a transfer can take several days and a registrar may refuse to release a name that has already expired.
Businesses that rely on a .com for email and online sales should consider renewing for three to five years at once. The yearly price stays the same, and a single missed reminder can no longer take the website offline.
Before you renew a .com domain, ask whether you still need it. Old campaign names and unused variations add to the bill every year. Keep the main brand and its common misspelling, and let the rest expire quietly so the portfolio stays small and easy to protect.
Expired Domain Recovery
Expired domain recovery is possible for a limited time, but the options shrink and the cost rises the longer you wait. For most generic extensions, such as .com, .net and .org, an expired name first enters a grace period, commonly around 30 to 45 days depending on the registry and registrar. The website and email stop working, yet you can still renew, normally at the standard price.
After that, many generic names move into a redemption period of about 30 days. The same owner can still win the name back, but the registry adds a restoration fee on top of renewal, often several times the usual price. If nobody redeems it, the name enters pending delete and is then released for anyone to register.
Country-code extensions set their own rules. PKNIC decides how long an expired .pk name is held and what recovery costs, and those terms can change. Never assume a later stage will be available.
Act fast if a name has lapsed. Contact us with the domain and our team will check its status at the registry; the earlier we look, the more choices you have. Status codes such as redemptionPeriod or pendingDelete in a whois result show how urgent things are.
Expired domain recovery is always dearer and more stressful than renewing on time, so once the name is back in your hands, switch on reminders and automatic renewal straight away.
Domain Auto Renewal
Domain auto renewal tells our billing system to raise the renewal invoice ahead of the expiry date and, where a saved payment method is on file, charge it automatically, so the name renews without anyone having to remember. It is the simplest guard against the most common cause of lost domains: a forgotten payment.
It works best with a payment method that stays valid. If a card expires or is replaced, update it in the client area. Customers who pay by bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa still get the invoice in advance along with reminders, but the payment itself has to be made by hand, so keep an eye on that inbox.
Use a role address such as admin@ or accounts@ for billing and registry notices, and host that mailbox somewhere other than the domain itself. If the domain lapses, mail to it stops as well, and the warnings would never arrive.
Add expiry dates to the company calendar a month in advance as a backup, and review the full list of names once a year. When staff leave, update the contacts on file the same week.
You can switch domain auto renewal on or off for each name from the client area, or ask our team to do it for you. Leave it on for the brand name and the main email domain, and consider turning it off for short-term campaign names you plan to drop.
