Web Hosting Link Exchange

For many years this page listed websites that exchanged links with WinsHosting. Search engines now treat link swaps very differently, so we have updated our approach. This page explains which partner and resource links we accept in 2026, how we label them, and how to propose a genuine partnership.

How WinsHosting handles link exchange requests in 2026

In the early days of the Pakistani web, link exchange pages were everywhere. Hosting companies, directories and small business sites swapped links in the hope of ranking higher in search results, and our own page once listed a handful of partners, from hosting directories to a Pakistani web index. Several of those resources, such as the Dmoz directory, have since closed, and the way search engines judge links has changed a great deal.

Google's spam policies today say that excessive link exchanges, where two sites link to each other mainly to influence rankings, can count as link spam. Links that are bought, swapped purely for ranking or hidden in footers can harm both sites rather than help them. At the same time, honest links between businesses that genuinely work together, or that point readers to useful information, remain a normal part of the web.

So WinsHosting no longer runs a traditional link exchange. Instead, we keep a small set of partner and resource links where there is a real relationship or a clear benefit to our visitors, and we label links in the way search engines ask. We still welcome emails from website owners, agencies and directories, but every proposal is judged on whether it helps our customers, not on how it affects anyone's rankings.

The sections below set out what we accept, what we decline, how links are marked up, and what partners can expect from us. If your proposal fits, send it to info@winshosting.com and our team will reply.

Link Exchange Proposal Checklist for WinsHosting Partners

Proposals that meet every point below are read first. Those that miss several are usually declined without a reply.

  • Your site is live, served over HTTPS and works properly on phones
  • There is a genuine business or customer relationship with WinsHosting
  • The page you suggest helps people running websites in Pakistan
  • No payment, gift or reciprocal link is attached to the request
  • You accept that partnership links carry a nofollow or sponsored label
  • Your website contains no gambling, adult, pirated or malicious material
  • You can name a customer or contact who will confirm the relationship
  • You understand the link may be reviewed and removed later

Beware of Link Exchange Offers Made in the WinsHosting Name

WinsHosting does not sell places on this page, and genuine partnership discussions happen through info@winshosting.com only. If someone contacts you claiming to arrange a paid listing or a link swap with us, treat it as spam and forward the message to that address so we can look into it.

Partner and resource links WinsHosting accepts

We add an outbound link only when it gives our visitors something useful or reflects a genuine business relationship. In practice, the links we are most likely to accept fall into a few groups.

In each case, we may ask for evidence of the relationship, for example a reference from a customer or a link from your site that shows you actually use our services. We also check that the target site is safe, works properly on mobile and does not contain content that would embarrass our customers.

  • Hosting and industry directories where WinsHosting holds a real, verified listing or membership, such as an established web hosting directory or a startup and company profile platform.
  • Customers and portfolio projects, such as websites our design team built, which may appear in our web portfolio with the owner's permission.
  • Technology partners whose software or services we use or resell, where a link helps customers find documentation or support.
  • Reseller and agency partners who sell WinsHosting services through our reseller hosting or domain reseller programmes and want customers to find them.
  • Educational resources about domains, hosting, website security and running a business online, particularly material written for Pakistani readers.

Link requests we decline and why

Some requests we turn down regardless of how they are worded, because accepting them would put our website and our customers at risk. We decline any proposal that offers payment, free products or other rewards in return for a link that passes ranking value. If a link is part of a paid arrangement, it must be clearly marked as sponsored, and we rarely agree to such arrangements at all.

We also decline three-way or chain link schemes, where site A links to site B so that site C can link back to A. These are designed to look natural while really being a swap, and search engines have recognised them for years.

Sites with no clear owner, copied content, aggressive advertising, adult or gambling material, pirated software, or pages built only to host links will not be added. The same applies to websites that sell links themselves or that appear to be part of a private blog network.

Finally, we decline requests for links using exact-match keyword anchor text, such as a demand that we link with the words cheap hosting Pakistan. We choose the link text ourselves so that it describes the destination honestly. If a request is turned down, we will say so briefly; we do not usually enter into long negotiations about it.

How outbound links on winshosting.com are labelled

Search engines ask website owners to tell them about the nature of a link using attributes on the HTML link tag. We follow that guidance across winshosting.com, including on this page, so that our links describe our relationships accurately.

Links to resources we recommend purely on their merits, with no payment or agreement involved, are ordinary links. Where a link exists because of a partnership, membership or mutual arrangement, we use the nofollow attribute or, for anything paid or rewarded, the sponsored attribute. Links inside user-generated content, such as reviews or comments, are marked as ugc.

These labels do not make a link less useful to readers. Visitors can still click through to your website, and the link still brings you traffic and visibility with potential customers. What changes is that search engines understand the link is part of a relationship rather than an independent editorial recommendation.

We ask partners who link to WinsHosting to do the same where appropriate. If you link to us because you are a reseller or receive any benefit from the relationship, please mark the link as sponsored or nofollow. We would rather have an honestly labelled link than one that could cause problems for your site.

Proposing a partnership or resource link to WinsHosting

If you believe your website would be useful to WinsHosting customers, we are happy to hear from you. Send your proposal by email to info@winshosting.com with the subject line Partner link proposal, so it reaches the right person. Please write from an email address on your own domain rather than a free webmail account, which helps us confirm who you are.

Keep the message short and include the details listed below. Proposals that arrive as generic templates, without any reference to our services or customers, are usually not answered.

We review proposals when time allows, and we reply only to those we want to take forward. Adding a link can take a few weeks, because each one is checked by a member of the team before it goes live.

  • Your name, the name of your business and the website address.
  • Your relationship with WinsHosting, if any, such as customer, reseller or technology partner.
  • The specific page you would like us to link to and a sentence explaining why it helps our visitors.
  • Whether you already link to WinsHosting, and from which page, so we can check the existing relationship.

Better ways to earn links for a Pakistani website

Many of the emails we receive about link exchange come from small business owners who have been told that swapping links is the key to ranking on Google. In 2026 that advice is out of date. Search engines rely much more on whether a website is fast, secure, useful and trusted by real people.

The most reliable way to earn links is to publish something worth linking to. For a Pakistani business that might be a clear price list, a buying guide in Urdu and English, a local area guide, or answers to the questions customers ask every day. When that content is genuinely helpful, other sites link to it without being asked.

Local signals matter too. Make sure your business name, address and phone number are consistent on your website and in trusted listings, including Google Business Profile. Ask satisfied customers to mention you, join relevant trade associations and take part in local events that publish their sponsors and partners.

The technical side also counts. A website on reliable web hosting with free SSL, quick loading on mobile networks and good Core Web Vitals gives your content the best chance. A memorable .pk domain also makes it easier for Pakistani visitors to remember and link to you.

Linking to WinsHosting from your own website

You are welcome to link to winshosting.com from your website, blog or social media profile without asking us first. Customers often mention that their site is hosted with us, and web designers sometimes credit their hosting provider in a site footer. We appreciate those mentions.

When linking, please use our name, WinsHosting, or a plain description of the page you are linking to, such as our domain registration page. Do not imply that we endorse your business, products or opinions unless we have agreed to that in writing.

You may not copy our logo, page designs or text and present them as your own, and you may not frame our website inside yours. Our logo may be used only to link to our website and must not be altered. If you are a reseller who would like to use our name in your own marketing, please check the terms of your reseller agreement or ask our sales team first.

If we notice a link to WinsHosting on a page that looks spammy or misleading, we may ask you to remove it, and we may tell search engines that we do not want that link to count towards our site. This protects both our reputation and yours.

Reviewing and removing existing partner links

Partner links are not permanent. We review the outbound links on our website regularly, and we remove or update any that no longer meet this policy. Common reasons include a partner site closing, changing ownership, moving to a different topic, becoming slow or insecure, or starting to sell links.

Older links from the original version of this page have been reviewed under the same rules. Resources that have shut down, including the Dmoz directory, have been removed. Others were kept only where the relationship still exists and the destination remains useful to our visitors.

If you are a partner and want us to remove or change a link to your site, email info@winshosting.com from your own domain with the page address and the change you need. We normally act on genuine removal requests within a reasonable time.

We may update this link policy at any time, for example if search engine guidance changes. The version on this page is the one that applies to all new proposals and to our review of existing links.

Frequently asked questions

Is a reciprocal link exchange bad for SEO in 2026?

Occasional reciprocal links between businesses that genuinely work together are normal and unlikely to cause problems. The risk comes from swapping links at scale, mainly to manipulate rankings, which Google's spam policies describe as link spam. Sites caught doing this can lose visibility in search results or have the value of those links ignored.

Does WinsHosting pay for guest posts or backlinks?

No. We do not buy backlinks or pay for guest posts designed to pass ranking value. If we ever sponsor an event, publication or community project and receive a link as part of it, we ask for the link to be marked as sponsored so that it complies with search engine guidelines.

Can I write a guest article for the WinsHosting knowledge base?

Our knowledge base is written by our own team so that every guide can be tested on our servers. We occasionally consider outside contributions on hosting, security or Pakistani e-commerce topics if they are original and practical. Send a short outline first; finished articles sent without discussion are not usually published.

Will WinsHosting list my web design agency as a partner?

If your agency hosts client websites with us or resells our services, we can discuss a listing. We look for a real working relationship and a professional website that clearly shows your company details. Contact the sales team to talk about partnership options, which may include our reseller programme.

Why did WinsHosting remove the old link exchange list?

The old list dated from a time when link swapping was common practice. Some of the sites on it had closed, and search engines now treat bulk link exchanges as a risk. We replaced it with a smaller, reviewed set of partner links that are labelled correctly and actually useful to visitors.

Can I mention WinsHosting in a hosting review or comparison?

Yes. You are free to review or compare our services, including honest criticism. We ask only that facts such as prices and features are accurate at the time of writing. If you spot something unclear, our sales team can confirm current details. We do not pay for reviews or offer rewards for positive ones.

How do I report a website misusing the WinsHosting name or logo?

Email info@winshosting.com with the address of the page, a description of the problem and, if possible, a screenshot. We review reports of sites pretending to be us or using our logo without permission, because such sites are sometimes used to trick customers into paying the wrong account.

Do directory listings still help a hosting or small business website?

A few well-maintained directories, especially local business listings and respected industry directories, can still bring visitors and help customers find you. Low-quality directories created only to sell links offer little value and may do harm. Focus on listings that real people use, and keep your details consistent in each one.
